Freedom in streamflow monitoring with cameras
With a simple automated camera, such as a security IP communicating camera, water levels and flows can be accurately estimated. OpenRiverCam’s unique open-access software ecosystem allows you to set up your own stations and services around streamflow monitoring with cameras. No vendor lock-ins, no exploding license costs with every camera added, no data going to a server abroad. You are in control, you can decide exactly what locally available components your station contains, you can scale to as many sites as you want, you can decide where the data goes. What do we do for you? We will help you get started, provide you support with building sites, establishing the server side, piloting, with the eventual goal to make you as independent as possible!
Real-time video analysis, automated, and scalable
OpenRiverCam is designed to run on edge devices, that continuously collect videos, and report in near real-time, every day, every hour, every 5 minutes. With our Operating System ORC-OS, automation is at your fingertips. Scale to as many stations as you want with our support, or entirely independently without any 3rd party costs once you are up to speed.
Browse, analyze, download from your desk
Analyze your videos and time series interactively, with powerful graphs, filters and augmented visualizations. Any quality issue can be resolved by modifying settings and water levels interactively and remotely. With our own-hosted Pangolin Remote Management system, we have remote access to all your devices covered. Ready to go independent? Just setup your own remote management solution.
Intuitive video calibration
Understanding how your camera is aimed towards the river water surface and your measured cross section is vital! With our intuitive interactive video calibration procedure, you can complete calibration in the field within a few minutes time. You can leave the field with peace of mind that your station is running and well calibrated.
Collect and connect your own apps and devices
Collect your data, images and videos on a central server with our LiveORC server stack, and connect your own websites, dashboards, decision support systems, early warning systems or industrial process management systems with your own hosted open-source LiveORC server. On site, you can also connect your own additional devices, sensors, or services through simple configuration of scripted microservices. We support both Bash and Python scripting.
